SUNFLOWER - THE ALBUM

Sunflower was probably the most underrated, and least promoted Beach Boys album of all time, which is why it only reached #151, the lowest position any Beach Boys album ever reached besides the M.I.U.album of 1978 which also reached #151.
By the same token, Sunflower contained some of the most beautiful music The Beach Boys ever recorded. The song "Forever", sung by Dennis on this album and by John Stamos on the "Summer In Paradise" album of 1992 stands out as one of the classics.
"Deirdre" which is an absolutely enchanting piece of music is sung beautifully by Bruce Johnston. On par with rocker "All I Want To Do" from the 20/20 album is "Got To Know The Woman" with Mike Love's background "ma ma ma ma ma ma ma ma ma ma ma mow mow mow" and Dennis singing lead make this an album not to be stored in the closet or the basement, but a turntable regular (that is, if you have the vinyl version).
The song that really makes this album a winner is the magical "Our Sweet Love". The melody is radiant and the harmonies have never been better.
The following is the playlist for the Beach Boys' Sunflower album:
Track 1 - Slip On Through (Dennis Wilson)
Track 2 - This Whole World (Brian Wilson)
Track 3 - Add Some Music To Your Day (Brian Wilson - Joe Knott - Mike Love)
Track 4 - Deirdre (Bruce Johnston - Brian Wilson)
Track 5 - Got To Know The Woman (Dennis Wilson)
Track 6 - It's About Time (Dennis Wilson - Bob Burchman - Alan Jardine)

Track 10 - Our Sweet Love (Brian Wilson - Carl Wilson - Alan Jardine)
Track 11 - At My Window (Alan Jardine - Brian Wilson)
