THE BEACH BOYS SHRINE

FOR HARD CORE FANS

ALL SUMMER LONG - THE ALBUM

All Summer Long was released in July of 1964 with the biggest Beach Boys' hit yet, "I Get Around" which soared to #1. This was the last studio album The Beach Boys recorded before Brian quit touring with the band.

This album was a real hot commodity for not only did they release "I Get Around" but an unusual EP entitled "Four By The Beach Boys" featuring "Little Honda, Hushabye, Wendy and Don't Back Down".  In addition, the album featured the theme song from "Girls On The Beach" performed by the Beach Boys. Only three of the aformentioned songs charted though but there were some groovy tunes on this baby including "All Summer Long" which was strangely enough, not released as a single although it featured wonderful harmonies, story line and instrumentation.

The following is the playlist of the All Summer Long album:

Track 1 - I Get Around (Brian Wilson)

Track 2 - All Summer Long (Brian Wilson)

Track 3 - Hushabye (D. Pomus - M. Shuman)

Track 4 - Little Honda (B. Wilson - M. Love)

Track 5 - We'll Run Away (B. Wilson - G. Usher)

Track 6 - Carl's Big Chance (B. Wilson - C. Wilson)

Track 7 - Wendy (Brian Wilson)

Track 10 - Drive In (Brian Wilson)
