FOR HARD CORE FANS

THE BEACH BOYS 1985 - THE ALBUM

The Beach Boys 1985 was a fan's delight. "Getcha Back" was a strong track, with a strong lead by Mike Love and a strong falsetto by Brian Wilson, and beautiful harmonies which did very well on the charts at #26, the strongest original Beach Boys song since "Do It Again" of 1968. "California Calling" took us once again into the surfing scene and what a welcome scene it was. "Crack At Your Love" and "Maybe I Don't Know" are also strong numbers on this album.

The songwriting influence of Dr. Eugene Landy, who was Brian Wilson's therapist for a while is seen with the three songs that make their appearance on this album which he co-wrote, "Crack At Your Love", "I'm So Lonely", and It's Just A Matter Of Time". By this time Brian Wilson's voice is much clearer and not ravaged by cigarettes and other substances. He also looks much better as seen on the back of the album cover.

The following is the playlist for the The Beach Boys 1985 album:
