Surfin' was the song that started it all. Dennis Wilson came up with the idea and suggested to Brian and Mike that they write a song about surfing. So they did. Mike jotted down some lyrics and Brian put music to them and along came "Surfin".
Brian, Carl, Mike and Al recorded it and the rest is history. The recording itself was primitive even for that time but that would change, and change it did.
